Thinking on these lines reminded me Darwins theory of evolution. His theory was derived from the basis of five observations.
1) Species have great fertility. They make more offspring than can grow to adulthood.
2) Populations remain roughly the same size, with modest fluctuations.
3) Food resources are limited, but are relatively constant most of the time.
From these three observations it may be inferred that in such an environment there will be a struggle for survival among individuals.
4) In sexually reproducing species, generally no two individuals are identical. Variation is rampant.
5) Much of this variation is heritable.

This states that the foundation is widely the same but, his theory also states that there is constant improvement in the species. Is the human species of these days are more prone to face disappointments and keep moving ahead.
I happen to meet people and it was very interesting learning their perception of life. which was widely "if you feel like doing it, do it" which was revolving around a selfish circle and respecting only their selfish motives. Is that... our own human species have changed and evolved to a new version of species? Is that we need to accept that this is a change and move forward or hold and keep reminding ourselves and others the value of life?
In today's world according to my view human life is dominated by greed and lust and the value of real life will soon be a dream of mankind. and may be movie makers instead of shooting a sci-fi movie will be shooting a movie based on value of life, which we generally term it as circle of life.
Whatever may it be. I strongly believe we have options to lead the life the way we want to lead. Lets choose the option which has got a long-term benefit rather than fulfilling our short term desires.

Nice piece Vishwak. I think I know exactly what you mean. In today's world, if I'm a virgin, I'm socially stunted. If I'm apalled by homosexuality, I'm a bigot and if I cling to integrity with all my life, I'm a fool. Rather than blame it on evolution, I would suggest the reason is a basic loss of holiness in everyday living.
Man has progressed. Man thinks he no longer needs God. Therefore, Man no longer needs God's standards either. To quote directly from the Bible (Isaiah 5:20) - 'Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.'
The only way out for us humans to retain values in a changing world is to base them on a changeless God. God bless!
Thanks for your comments. Well said.
