Sense at Level 6

The sixth sense in we humans is a amazing thing which we possess apart from the five senses of smell, touch, vision, hearing and taste. We call our sixth sense as Intuition.

The sixth sense is a power which goes beyond practicality of life. Like Love at First Sight, Confidence and many more.

Sometimes we humans just neglect what our intuition says and surrender to the word PRACTICAL. The great people of the world were the strong followers of their sixth sense, like Mahatma Gandhi, Galileo, Einstein, Edison, Ramanujan, Aryabhata and many more.

There are small ways in which we can realise our intuition power. Like sometimes you feel someone is watching you and when u turn around you find a person. Or sometimes before someone utters a word you know what he/she is going to speak. Or You think of a person and the phone rings.

There were lot of incidents in my life where the sixth sense played a vital role. One such incident was during a time when i was suffering from group of diseases and was admitted in the hospital. It must be around mid time when no when was around and i was not able to breathe and i was not able to shout or even speak to call someone. Slowly my breathing was getting worst. it was very suffocating and i was loosing my consciousness slowly... at this hour my intuition said someone will be there in few moments and hold yourself... when i turned, i saw my dad and then i was saved.

Literally intuition means “inner sight”. Other meanings are 'inner consciousness' or 'inner knowledge'. Originally the word is Latin. According to the dictionary intuition is 'immediate mental apprehension without reasoning; immediate insight.' It is something that we all take for granted, yet is it not remarkable that somehow we can come to correct conclusions without having all the fact to hand and without using reason? How is it that we can form an immediate assessment of a person the first time we meet them and find that our initial insight is proved to be correct. And why is it that we can sometimes make a correct guess at a direction to travel or guess the answer to a question and get it exactly right. This is what we call the presence of sixth sense.
There are times when i run out of solution and my mind will have thousands of questions to answer, I call it as confusion. At these times i approach God to show me some sign and my inner consciousness rises with clarity and it will ensure my mind settles in peace and i am able to enjoy the happiness of the present moment. This inner consciousness is what i call it as intuition and it is often accompanied with confidence. In many mysteries surrounding us, i never understood this Intuition to a great extent but i just follow it. So far it has been so good.
So, at times i ask you not to surrender to the word Practical and just follow what your intuition says. May be Intuition is the way in which God is in constant touch with us and communicates to us.

Somehow I get the feeling there's a message in there for me! Yep, intuition is as much God's voice as the conscience is God's prodding and coincidences His handiwork.

But I guess the reason people don't trust their intuition is because our understanding of it could be flawed/biased by what we feel at the moment. This could skew our choices and sometimes screw our trip. And that is where rational practicality wins over abstract inutuition.

In my humble opinion, a safer approach would be to simply stand still when you get to a fork in the road and let God literally push you in the right direction instead of relying on your own understanding of your intuition. Think about it!

Thanks Lauvanya for your comments.
Well! i guess its widely subjective. However! there are courses held to improve our intuition level and to understand it in a higher level.
For me! i follow my intuition. Yes! it is true sometimes it had letme down.
and also you got it rite. i had a subtle message... As what we had spoken influenced me a bit when i was writing :)

Vish, I appreciate you brought out a thought provoking issue.

I guess Intuition has always been an enigma for rational beings and it stimulates a defiant attitude in one's mind as there is no room for logical reasoning..

A good effort!!
Keep your thoughts flowing. :)
