Travel

I had this option to name this post as journey. I thought its a over used word.. Travel sounded well and so this post is Travel and not Journey.

I come from a family where we take regular outings which means travel was always there. We have made short to long travels over train, bus, flight, car and also self driven to a distance of many kms on a stretch. This made me to see different culture, people and places. My objective was always to see that place as a person belonging there and not as a tourist. This post is only to share in few words about my recent travel experience... I really mean a few words.

I had travelled to a place where you can find a railway station which is on the highest altitude in the world, the best thing of that was the view of Kanchenjunga during sun rise it was nothing less than heaven. and then travelled to city of joy, I assume that would be the only city in the world where you find every mode of transportation. The travel inside the city started with auto. In this city in a auto 6 people travel and autos stop at bus stands and other places too to pick new passengers. I sat in the front along with our pilot as he navigated through giving kisses to car and busses on his way. The next mode I picked was the metro. I got my token and waited for the metro. As soon as it arrived I was automatically inside within seconds. and the same thing happened when I got down. Yes! you got that it was heavily crowded and people pushed and pulled. I got down from there and got out on the streets, took a walk for sometime and then got into the yellow ambassador taxi to reach a hotel where I had to join for lunch. After my lunch my plan was to travel in tram. As I got out of the hotel there were hand rickshaw people. Initially I thought its unfair to travel on that, but that's how they make money for their living. So, I gave them business. As they pulled and rolled me through the streets I took every step to make them feel comfortable and then I reached the tram station. On reaching I had a mud cup tea, to add about this city its also filled with things to eat on the streets more than what you would see in Italy. The tram was appearing on the track and halted. I was the last person to board the tram and then the tram conductor pulled the rope which was connected to the bell for the driver to hear. The tram started moving I loved the tram journey. The last thing was to travel in the horse and I made it to that too, it was exciting as I sat on the decorated chariot and the horse started making its stamps in the streets of Kolkata. And thus i had travelled in all modes of transportation available in the world for normal people.

Brain Struck

I wanted to blog... just coz i have one...
I hit new post to write something... something interesting... and every time i reach here am so incomplete in my thoughts that it doesn't move on from the first few lines.
Doing an analysis on why. i created a terminology "brain struck". Am not going to explain how and why i gave this terminology, rather am going to speak more about brain struck.
I was watching a conversation between two people in a meeting. One person was explaining something beautiful, his flow was great. He was interrupted by a phone call and then he missed his flow. At that point he was Brain Struck. I felt bad for him. There was a similar situation when i was explaining to someone. Someone gave me a name which i loved to hear and i was lost and brain struck. What happens here within us is very interesting. The storage information coincides with present happenings and the brain finds it hard to get aligned. If this is one such case. There is an other thing too.
There are few things which we wanted to do for a longtime but we never do that. Like writing a blog atleast in my case. Even if we sit on a particular task, we will not be able to perform it. You think Ah! i know this.. it happens many times. Well! that true, what happens here is interesting. Any task which has to be performed needs to have acceptance from your brain/mind. When this doesn't happen. You sit on a plain word file typing and deleting words for hours and your Brain Struck.
How to handle Brain Struck? In my little experience with these familiar situations i used various ways and zeroed on few things which worked for me.
In the first case of Brain Struck where you find a while to get back on track, i tried restricting my brain to operate and find the historical information temporarily and had that instance saved in my present so that i can recall it once my given task is completed. Its not complicated or hard to do that. In simple words you ignore that instant completely and after your meeting/conversation/task is completed you recall what you ignored. This has worked effective for me.
In the second case where we don't do anything, but just keep thinking that it has to be completed. I closed my eyes had 10 deep breaths and compelled myself to start something in that lines for 20 minutes and then the brain actually gave the acceptance and i was able to accomplish the task.
I thought the brain struck is something by which we feel dis-satisfied with ourselves. So, thought of sharing it. Next time when you open any empty file and keep it for hours... realise you are brain struck and remember to try out the option.

lil things

Oh its twenty ten. I visited my blog and i have not yet started scribbling for this year, o.m.g am i getting so busy? no way
I know this thing, the moment you start saying your busy you will never find time for anything. A very happy new year to me and all.
How to feel happy? this is something i used to keep wondering.
There was once when i was too depressed and crazily stressed out. I sent a text "i will be at your home at 9" to my friend with whom i had a fight. we haven't been in touch for real longtime. I was there at my friends home meeting him after 2 years. That was a happy moment. There are many more little small things which brings so much of happiness for us and others. Being happy is sometimes a state of mind. I remember studying a article on being happy. Let me recall and put things which i remember.
Here we go, first is to forgot your past, if you carry the burden of your past memories you can never be happy. I am taking about real bad memories which keeps haunting us. second is, someone said the secret of happiness is freedom and the secret of freedom is courage. When you give a deep thought you will realize what this statement means. The point is taking responsibility for your life. Read it and think about it, you will understand. Third is to build relationships. Sometimes love becomes a need for us to stay happy and for this we need to have relationships. We love our parents, brothers, friends and so on and these people make us happy and we also share love with them. Have many passions in life. Like photography, singing, writing, dancing, business and anything you like. This will make you feel happy, the reason why many? if you do just one thing you get tired and you should never let your passion tire you. The next one is to have a positive mind set and work creatively. If you are confused or too concerned on where to start. Start with what you have and make the best or full use of your talent. Don't let your self on a struggle that to do this i need that and so on. And the last one is to make others happy, this is also something which i do.
Wanted to start my first blog of twenty ten in a happy note. Now, it makes sense to wish you a very happy new year.

Waves

I have been receiving waves of feedback for my past few blogs. The feedback said, my blogs are boring these days and doesn't really make things interesting. Well! i felt the same too... after reading it couple of times :) Thanks all for the feedback provided to me over the phone, e-mails and all other ways. Actually it is only handful of them. I just wanted to blog this..
Why waves? What waves? i guess that's the best distant communication till date...
Communication industry over the past decade has changed our lifestyles to a great extent. The list of things which we have personalized for us is way too much... we all have a number these days, e-mail ids, fb and orkut accounts, a twitter id, a chat id. So, many ways to say a hi :). I was watching the TV commercial for airtel or vodafone or aircel or something (almost every ad looks d same), they were all communicating about saying one word... Well! and there was an other commercial which said live every moment and wherever you go we follow stuffs. How true, i live every moment and the network follows me everywhere i go too (no matter whatever service i use)... Like, i was in my deep sleep and was in a dreamland... and i received a call (i have some funny ring-tones too)... the person said "sorry to disturb you at this time, but its important". Well! i did live every moment and wherever i go it did follow too... even in my dreams. At that living moment i thought life sucks and i strongly disliked following stuff too. sometimes its good if nothing follows you and u live your every moment.
I mean things have changed these days... Lets assume you have been invited for lunch at someones home. Years back the people who had invited u will prepare a tasty food and wait until u come for lunch. These days, you receive a call in the morning conforming the time (if they don't call... u give a call to them) and then a call when you start from your home... and then provide a update about traffic to them and finally you give a call when your 10 minutes away from their home. why these many calls... people these days don't have patience or may be tolerance. They e-mail you and expect a reply within hours.
The waves of communication have changed our world. Welcome to our new world. Kids these days have access to everything with the Internet. People speak and exchange texts even at late night hours.
I was thinking deep inside on how we should be managing our children in this new age of unlimited exposure. I thought these could be the probable things we have to do.

1. Teach them tolerance.

2. Don't allow them to have a personal e-mail id. Create a common e-mail id for your kids which can be accessed by you and your wife.

3. Don't encourage kids to own them a cell phone. Let them use either of your number or the home telephone number.

4. Create browsing restrictions for your kids in your home computer.

Do all these at least until your kid is 16 or 18.
These can be the vital factors in future.
We all know the good things about these developments. But, there is also a flip side which i think we need to see.

Neither is Ram worried nor Allah is... But I am...

Do you think British were the only people who implemented divide and rule at India? I guess they thought and few people here at the independent nation are still experimenting the same option.
I was hearing the news again about the demolition of mosque after 17 years as the Headlines. It was worrying deep inside of me that the country will once again fall apart. Well! am not going to talk about BJP or Shiv Sena or any other uncivilized or civilized political party. Am not so knowledgeable to scribble about that. All i want to say is I had a friend during those days who practiced Islam as it was the religion from his ancestor days and on Dec 6th during one of the very old years some incident took place somewhere by which he was affected. And it took day for us to bring him back to normality. I stay in a place where when i walk on the road i will find Abraham, Ibrahim and Brahmans walking along the streets seeing no difference in their religions. I only wish... few people who love the British way don't let us again to the dark days which they did years back.
If one thinks what is the real purpose of religion... and the reason we pray God... These ill-beneficial activities will not happen. I guess people are lazy to think deep and straight. Many times it makes me wonder... no matter how many sensible people live in this world... still things happen...

all that counts... matters

It has been a longtime since i had blogged. I almost forgot that I used to blog. Well! today i just thought i need to scribble something... don't ask me why... even if you ask... i wouldn't know it...
Thought process doesn't really kick... nothing is coming out and don't know on what topic to write... May be i can try triple benefits... well that is something i think my clients should be getting it... may be i can try Indian politics... this is something which i wouldn't know much... but may be i can give a shot...
I was in discussion with some person sometime back... he was talking about nanden nillkani... the infosys guy... it seems he wrote a mail to his colleague about his first day experience in the great Indian Parliament... and the mail was leaked and forwarded to many... Well! for me to believe to that story... i have to be Stupid... Well as you all know am not anymore... I would say he is a good politician on day one... you should be knowing it why...
Indian politics is well crafted and the people to whom we cast our vote really make a difference.... i have always believed in that.
Our political system is simple to view and complex to be a part of it. India is a middle class dominated country, and this class see no much change in their way of life no matter who rules. And sadly, these votes set the background of the rulers. This is what perhaps creating the best political system to perform below expectations. In so many years, i have seen the drive for me from chennai to bangalore is good. The drive on the ecr is cool. Easing the traffic through the over-bridge is awesome. Growth in rural education is welcoming. and lot more to add. The big truth of our political system is that, how much ever corrupt a person in the political system is... if he fails to perform he vanishes.
I guess, the day we start appreciating our politicians things will change in a faster pace.

s...e...a...r...c...h............

This is one word every human has it common. Searching for the right leader, searching for terrorists, searching for peace, searching for hints, searching for love, searching... searching... and searching... the search never ends in our life.
Recently Google completed some x number of years since they first launched... The worlds popular search engine. It is so interesting that whatever you want to know... type it and you find results. Even if you want to know Where is God or Where is Prabhakaran or Where is truth. If you were in search of these then you would realize your search would yield millions of results. As i belong to this wonderful industry of the world wide web and information technology, i was feeling good that utilizing the world in which i operate knows everything.
This is what we are today, part of the virtual world. Where you will find answers but not the correct answer. Its a different world where we are making our livelihoods. We have adopted a life style where we are not truthful in ourselves and many times we hide ourselves from us.
Humans ability to keep focused and use their gifted brains to search and find answers is a awesome process. The way in which we search for things today has taken a different form. It is time bounded... It settles on approximate and assumption rather than accurate and conclusion. Few days back i closed my eyes and was doing my own self analysis, where i asked my self simple questions... how truthful am i, have i done at least 10 good things for the society for the past 10 years... may be even 1... when was the last time i searched something desperately which my heart wanted to do... and few more questions... the results were not satisfactory...
May be we need to optimize our search to yield perfect and appropriate results.
Am incomplete.... Am in search of many things...
