ITs Hue

Its been almost 19 years when the first thing on the world wide web was ever posted. In these just 19 years the journey of the online industry has been nothing more than hue of things. The way i saw/see is showcased here. Your opinion can be entirely different, in that case i would appreciate to have that shared as a comment which would make me less blind.
The industry started with posting stating content over the web. Where one will be able to view things of a company or organisation from anywhere for which they had a website address. In just few months it started catching like a fire and everyone hopped on to have their presence on the web. This made the www big and then there was a need rising for something which can give you the website which you are looking for. Those days people type the company name and add .com in the end and keep hitting the url and try combinations. This tedious thing gave rise to archie which is archive without V, which was world's first search engine. It doesn't exist anymore. And then as we all know now we Google and get the stuff. Later to this we saw email becoming familiar with Hotmail. Though emails came much much before during 1971 it was Hotmail which made it to public first where Hotmail also means html with o and ai added. and these two things over the web changed the way things happen drastically, leading to one innovation to other continuously in the last 10 years which gave birth to online video viewing with YouTube and social networking site which started with tripod.com, geocities.com, theglobe.com and classmates.com. and then there was online commerce with online banking, then it was pizza hut who started selling pizzas online. Further to this Amazon created online shopping site quickly followed by ebay. Along the way this industry had created large companies like Hotmail, Yahoo, Google, YouTube, Amazon, Ebay, Facebook and more companies getting created and popularized.
However in this rapid fast growth in this world wide on web lasting a particular thing is also questionable. Here are few examples.
Archie which was closed down as it did not make any money and its rival yahoo took over the search business with them. Hotmail though it was successful initially it was acquired by Microsoft. YouTube still a successful company was acquired by Google and so on. Yahoo today is a struggling online company. Myspace which was a very popular social networking site which surpassed Google page ranking in US has sunk. And there are many more examples which was once popular has no one left typing it on the address bar.
With so much of hue on this industry we know there is something else which would come and don our world wide web and making few familiar things fade in dusk. The uncertainty over this industry still remains and very much here to stay.
As we are the part of these things making it happen and making it flop can only enjoy the hue.
In the years to come we have more than address bars to reach the world wide web through apps over the phone, tablets and also PC's. This has also pushed to change our OS, one would agree to this if they have tried Windows 8 on their desktops.
I am signing off on this. wishing happy anniversary for world wide web. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

@ Anonymous 1: Thanks for reading. May i know who is this...
On Facebook, i think its gonna stay for a while. As we know FB is not like search engine or email where its vital for us to have. So, any new thing can topple FB, If FB keeps innovating and coming with more stuff, then they might stay which i doubt.

Windows 8 is available to download as a consumer preview in Microsoft site (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/consumer-preview?ocid=O_MSC_W8P_OandO_Consumer_EN-US). I have downloaded and using it for my desktop.
